QuickSymbols.com respects intellectual property and responds promptly to valid copyright complaints.
The characters offered here belong to the open Unicode Standard, so the glyphs themselves carry no individual copyright. Our articles, illustrations, and original writing do fall under copyright protection, and we honor the rights of others in turn. If you believe content on this site infringes a copyright you hold, follow the steps below.
Filing a takedown notice
Send a written notice to dmca@quicksymbols.com that includes every item listed here:
- Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A clear description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact location, meaning the page address, of the material you want removed.
- A statement, made in good faith, that the disputed use carries no authorization from you, your agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the owner or an authorized agent of the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Our response
On receiving a complete and valid notice, we act fast. We review the claim, remove or disable the flagged material when the request holds merit, and notify the party who posted it. We aim to finish this review within several business days.
Counter notice
Anyone who believes their content came down by mistake may submit a counter notice to the same address. A counter notice should identify the removed material, state under penalty of perjury that the removal was an error, and include your contact details and signature. We then restore the content unless the original claimant pursues legal action.
Repeat infringers
Accounts or contributors who repeatedly post infringing material lose access to any submission features. We take repeated violations seriously and act to protect creators.
